Here is the data on December and January. It gives information on all the military is doing to prevent suicides, but as I've said, it's too complex an issue to have a single solution, or even a few solutions. One thing to remember - these numbers don't tell the whole story. There are so many who die in high speed crashes, alcohol mixed with meds, and other, "accidental" deaths that truly were just Soldiers trying to die. I got a call this week from one of the Social Workers at the WTB here and was told that we lost a Soldier two weeks ago to alcohol mixed with meds (which isn't being counted as a suicide) and nearly lost another that same week from a suicide attempt. It seems the more we lose, the less we know what to do to prevent it....
